Rainbows and Roses

Last night Samantha and I went to our second cake decorating class. This is Samantha's finished cake. Mine is still sitting in the kitchen waiting to be finished.


We had our first rose making lesson. I understand now why they say this is the hardest thing to learn. We didn't do so well. After watching several examples on youtube last night, I think I understand it better now. All I need now is time to practice.

If anyone has a good icing recipe I would love to have it! The Wilton buttercream icing isn't that tasty.
Next week we learn to pipe clowns on cupcakes and make flowers.
