Monkey Boy

Boys...gotta love them even though they can make your heart skip a beat sometimes. When we took Nathan hiking, he had to try to climb everything. Some moments he scared me to death! For those of you with little boys...just wait!

He started at one end of this branch and climbed just like this to the other end.
Climbing a tree.
What you can't really see from this picture is the huge drop to the water below. The limb was right above the river. He was determined to make it to the limb you see sticking up. There was nothing to hold onto. At this point you could hear me saying, no son, please come back. Finally, his dad could see how scared it was making me so he agreed that it was too dangerous.
This is the waterfall on the other side of fat man's squeeze. Nathan had to climb up all the fallen boulders to get to the top.
I was just kidding when I said, hey you can walk the tightrope here! One day I will learn to keep my mouth shut. He couldn't resist trying to cross this log tightrope that is about 10 feet high.Once again with nothing to hold onto.
