What do you do with a huge box of packing peanuts? No, you can't put the baby in them because she will try to eat them.
So you do a science experiment with the children. First, pour acetone into a container. Then begin filling it with the peanuts.
The peanuts quickly dissolve in the acetone.

Eventually the whole box is gone.
And you have substance that looks like this. stringy plastic.
Even after putting a whole box of peanuts into that small dish, there was still plenty of acetone to do another large box.
The final result...vinyl.

I now understand the warning label on fingernail polish!!!
