One of the exciting things that happened in May is that my grandmother's house finally came down! We have been waiting months for this to happen. It took so long because all the brick and roofing had to be removed before the fire dept. could burn it. It has been an all-voluntary project with friends and family helping. The children and I spent the day there watching it burn to the ground. It was kinda sad to see it go but just knowing my grandmother will be getting a new house and will be moving back home made it all
ok. We were expecting her to be back from Illinois by the end of June but because of all the delays(rain) it will much longer. Hopefully before cold weather! We are looking forward to taking a five generations picture with her upon her return. And of course my children are anxious to see their great grandmother again. We have missed her!

It took a long time to get a fire going because the house was saturated from all the rain. The fireman is using an
accelerant to start the fire. It took over two gallons of fuel to get the house to even start burning.
